Sky Noon Closed Beta Set To Kick Off This Week
Developer Lunar Rooster is all geared up to let players loose within the Sky Noon closed beta test.
Fresh off a hot showing at this year's PAX East 2018 exhibition, the development team at Lunar Rooster is gearing up to kick off an all-new Sky Noon closed beta experience that should be of interest to PC players looking to jump in on some crisp first-person action/brawler gameplay.
Set during an alternate universe where Wild West-era characters do battle among the clouds, Sky Noon puts players into the boots of guns-for-hire tasked with taking out the opposing forces using a series of air-powered weaponry. According to Blake Morse's own hands-on Sky Noon preview, the game plays out similarly to titles like Super Smash Bros., albeit with a distinct first-person, steampunk-styled twist.
Those who want to get in on the Sky Noon closed beta action should head over to the official Sky Noon Discord channel. Once there, players will be required to authorize the key bot in the channel for a chance to drop into the action. The closet beta is set to kick off on April 19 at noon PDT and run all the way through Monday, April 23 at noon PDT.
Players will be able to check out Sky Noon proper when it releases for Steam Early Access sometime in the second quarter of this year. Those who want to learn more about the title and get clued in on the latest updates can follow the official Sky Noon Twitter page.
