Shenmue HD Collection Pricing Revealed
We have an update for the recently revealed remasters of Shenmue and Shenmue 2.
The recently announced remasters for Shenmue and Shenmue 2 will be an opportunity to get better acquainted with the Shenmue lore before the crowdfunded third title arrives and a YouTuber has revealed the HD collection will cost $29.99. The collection will have physical releases for PS4 and Xbox One, with the PC version being digital-only.
Adam Koralik is a content creator focused on gaming and made his way over to Tokyo, Japan to talk about the upcoming Shenmue and Shenmue 2 remasters with Sega. Via his YouTube channel and Twitter, he’s revealed pricing information and clarified some gameplay features for the games.
In addition to pricing info, Koralik also squashed a rumor that the time skip feature from Shenmue 2 would be added to the original game in the remaster. It’s not true and it seems both titles will be largely like their original counterparts with some visual enhancement. To add weight to Koralik’s claims, Sega Europe’s official twitter states that he’s the best source for all things Shenmue.
@AdamKoralik is without a doubt your best source for all things Shenmue, other than us of course. Be sure to give him a follow. https://t.co/Ib7VFbfLMW

After a successful crowdfunding campaign, Shenmue III development got started and fans have been treated to a few videos and screenshots over the last few years. The third entry in the series wasn’t always guaranteed and loyal players can rejoice as we get closer to continuing Ryo Hazuki’s story, but there’s a generation of players only loosely familiar with the first two games chronicling his adventures. The remastered collection will be a chance for them to do so sometime this year. Stay tuned to Shacknews for more updates.
