Test Drive Star Citizen With This Weekend's Free Fly Event

Looking to try out Star Citizen but haven't taken the plunge just yet? From now until April 16, you can try it out for yourself during the Star Citizen Free Fly Weekend, which lets you test out the game in its current alpha state for the low, low price of, well...free, hence the "free weekend" title.

If you use the code GetIntoTheVerse, you'll be able to fly around through space using several different ships, including the Cutlass Black, Aurora MR, or the Mustang. The Cyclone is even up for grabs this time around! Utilizing the ship of your choice, you can try out Arena Commander and Star Marine modes to see if dropping some cash on Star Citizen is something you'll want to do in the future.

You'll need to sign in with an existing Star Citizen account, then use the above-mentioned coupon to make sure you can download the client for free. Once you're up and running, you'll have all the way through Monday to explore the 'verse. Plus, any progression you make during the event will be yours to keep if you purchase a Starter Pack for the game.
