Competitive Fortnite Coming to A-Kon OpTic Arena Battle Royale Event
OpTic and NGAGE have announced the latest Fortnite competitive event hosted at this year's A-Kon.
Fortnite fans and competitive gaming enthusiasts have an all-new event to look forward to, as OpTic Gaming and NGAGE Esports have gotten together to announce the upcoming OpTic Arena Battle Royale Event. Set to take place later this year at A-Kon 2018, the event will present an open opportunity for players to come test their Fortnite prowess at the Fort Worth Convention Center this spring.
Set to run between June 8 and June 10, the OpTic Arena Battle Royale is but one event hosted at the upcoming A-Kon 2018 anime convention. Players who enter the 60-player competition will have a chance to win the grand prize Golden Ticket VIP experience as well as a host of various "Fortnite swag" for those who place highly enough during the competition.
The OpTic Arena Battle Royale event is set to take place alongside A-Kon, and will make up just one part of the three-day esports event. Other activities will be provided for attendees, such as competitions for Super Smash Bros. Melee, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Street Fighter V, each of which offering its own $5,000 pot bonus for players who come out on top. Each night will also play host to its own after party, the likes of which are sure please the nocturnal creature within all of us.
Tickets for general admission are available now at an early bird cost of just $70 per person, with the price going up by $9 after May 1. Anyone interested in purchasing tickets can find more information over at the NGAGE Esports event website.
