The promotional art is a perfect callback to the first season with Clementine and Lee.
Telltale is gassing up the hype train for their final season of the hit Walking Dead series, revealing that first season writer Gary Whitta is returning, and the game is officially slated for release later in 2018. Though we’ll have to wait a few months to get our hands on it, Telltale has revealed that we’ll get our first look at the game at PAX East 2018.

As seen above, the final season of The Walking Dead will appear at the Telltale PAX East panel. The dev team has a history with PAX events, often hosting interactive playthroughs of upcoming or released games where the audience gets to influence the games many crucial decisions. Also, props to Twitter user @SudoSwoodu for catching the callback to the first season.
The series has its share of ups and downs, mostly ups, and is coming off a really strong season with New Frontier. The season’s five episodes felt like a more organic progression from the first season that the second did, giving players an opportunity to see Clementine’s growth as opposed to the second season giving us full control of her actions.
Stay tuned to Shacknews for updates on The Walking Dead Final Season and expect a release date announcement at PAX East 2018.
