VR Action Title Raw Data Gets New PvP Map In Free Intercept Update
The Hostile Takeover PvP mode is getting a cool free update and the devs are celebrating with a price drop for the full game.
Raw Data is a built-from-the-ground-up-for-VR action game that casts players as various heroic archetypes in a futuristic technothriller. The Hostile Takeover update to the game introduced PvP and gives you an opportunity to take on other players in intense 5v5 matches. The free update for today includes the new PvP map Intercept and is described as follows:
"At the center of Eden Tower are the Quantum OS Data Chambers. Each Chamber stores and collates all of Eden's vital data to ensure a better and safer future for humanity! Unless, of course, SyndiK8 has it's way! Right now, terrorists are attempting to break into Reactor 4 of the Sector F Data Chambers and corrupt Eden's mission! Eliminate threats in this open map of interweaving walkways! Find safety higher above, or rush the Data Core form below! Either way, get fired up, or get fired!"
In Raw Data, players can assume the role of a gun cleric, cyber ninja, street mercenary, or rogue hunter and take a diverse collection of adaptable enemies. The game is critically well received and continues to be one of the better ways to introduce players to some high-speed action in virtual reality. Sprint Vector, the runner also being developed by Survios, also hit the newswire recently after the team announced a partnership with Intel and the open beta.
Raw Data is available on both the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift and online co-op is cross-platform. This free update is being celebrated with a 20% sale on Steam, so you can grab the game right now for $32.
