Star Wars Battlefront 2 The Last Jedi Update Includes Economy Changes
Economy and progression changes start with this new update centered on The Last Jedi.
It hasn't been terribly long since EA pulled down all microtransactions for Star Wars: Battlefront 2 after they incited an uproar from fans. The game's economy and progression were placed under a microscope and found wanting and incredible egregious, but the company said that it would be making some big changes before bringing it back. Tomorrow, those changes will be patched in and the developers have shared what will be coming via a blog post.
The update, running parallel to the upcoming movie The Last Jedi, will introduce factional challenges inspired by the film. Players will choose to work for either the First Order or Resistance while earning rewards.
The economy and progression updates are said to be "only some initial steps toward making much larger changes" and the devs will surely be looking at feedback for the new additions, which are as follows:
- Earn 3X more Credits daily in Arcade Mode
- Daily Login Crates will now provide more crafting parts than before
New heroes, maps, and vehicles will arrive during The Last Jedi season of Battlefront 2, but the biggest concern will be retaining and growing their player-base with all the controversy surrounding the game's design.
