L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files Teaser Has Looks That Could Kill
HTC Vive shared a glimpse at our future jobs as a virtual detective via twitter and it looks like the game is making a great transition.
When it was announced that L.A. Noire was getting a set of virtual reality missions, it was a pleasant surprise that made perfect sense. The attention to detail in the crime noir fits perfectly with first-person immersion in VR and we're finally getting a glimpse of what this will look like when it arrives on the HTC Vive.

This first look at L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files is a very, very brief snapshot of the gameplay players will be experiencing once they don their VR HMDs. The original game required you to keep track of a collection of clues and evidence, so it seems we'll be doing the same in a more dynamic way with a notebook we actually look down at. Players may even have to make selections on what to add into the notebook with the right hand, but we'll have to wait and see.
L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files takes seven cases from the base game and rebuilds them from the ground up for virtual reality. Chatting with suspects, taking down clues, driving, and shooting (even from vehicles) will be an incredible experiment that hopefully pays off and inspires more big names to get involved with VR.
