Blizzard fans have made the annual pilgrimage to Anaheim, CA for this year's BlizzCon. The opening ceremonies are set to kick off at 11AM PT and will not require a Virtual Ticket to view. The keynote address will be streamed absolutely free, so why not join us and watch right along with Shacknews?

I don't see where you take Diablo right now. It's not going to be a huge departure visually, there are enough capable clones right now that I feel like it needs to be impactful in a way that exceeds a new story mode and a tweaked loot formula.
I'd be happy for it to rest for a decade and let me start to miss it again.-

They did the best they could with D3 but the core of the game wasn't really designed for long term content additions. It's very old fashioned compared to modern Blizzard games which are more service-oriented. I'd like to see a fresh start on D4 with a more persistent online focus (not quite an MMO, but instanced dungeons with communal areas) which uses a F2P model to keep the devs more invested in it long term. Love it or hate it, that's how you get a dev team to maintain a game for years. Write a campaign that's a little more non-linear like Adventure mode and lends itself well to adding new story content that's also farmable.
Also tone down the mudflation next time, for fuck's sake, this last patch was crazy.
