Be a Stormtrooper in Star Wars Secrets of the Empire VR
You and up to three friends will go undercover and invade the Empire via Disney's immersive location-based experience The Void.
Industrial Light and Magic is the division of Lucasfilm that is responsible for visual effects and has pioneered a collection of tools and techniques for the VFX field. Virtual reality is pioneering new storytelling and interactive experience techniques and an upcoming Star Wars bring the VFX company and VR platform together. Secrets of the Empire transports a team of players into the Star Wars world and can be experienced via The Void.
In Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire, a team of players will wear VR headsets and grab blasters as they're transported to the molten planet of Mustafar. You're accompanied by the droid K-2S0, made popular in the Star Wars anthology film Rogue One, and must navigate enemy territory in a Stormtrooper disguise. There will be puzzles to solve, enemies to fight, and more as the team attempts to complete their orders.
The Void, if you're unfamiliar, is a full-body virtual reality experience that takes VR immersion to the next level with well-crafted sets that reflect the virtual spaces you explore in various experiences. The Void can accommodate up to four people at a time and is one the premier location-based VR events.
Secrets of the Empire will go live at Disney Springs in Orlando, FL and in Anaheim, CA's Downtown Disney this winter and pre-order tickets are available now.
