Starting the day after tomorrow, you can head to your local Target store to receive a download code that will allow you to claim a special Charizard character. The code works with the ludicrously popular Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon on 3DS, but apparently not with Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, which are due to arrive next month.

The Charizard you obtain starts at level 50 and already knows the Dragon Dance, Flare Blitz, Fly, and Earthquake moves. Additionally, it comes with the Blaze ability and possesses a Red card item. That’s a powerful ally, and the hardest part of the whole process is finding time to visit the electronics department at a store where you very possibly already do your shopping.

Once you have a code, access the Mystery Gift option from the main menu in Pokemon Sun or Pokemon Moon. Choose the option to Receive Gift, and then enter the code when prompted. Connect to the internet and enter your password, at which point your new friend should be delivered. Then you can talk to the delivery person in a Pokemon Center to receive your reward. Save your progress and you’re good to go.

Naturally, the Charizard promotion is intended to drum up sales for related products. The idea is that while you’re snagging your free Charizard code, you’ll take a look at the Pokemon TCG: Charizard-GX Premium Collection (a Target exclusive), which includes a Charizard-GX promo card, collector’s pin, and other goodies.

The promotion will be active from October 1, 2017 through October 14, 2017, so you have only two weeks to take advantage. If you would like more information, check out the official announcement.
