Samsung May Be Working On A Windows VR Headset
If the leak is to be believed, Samsung is bringing a Windows Mixed Reality headset to the market with integrated audio.
In October, Microsoft’s mixed reality lineup will be hitting the market with headsets from Acer, Lenovo, Dell, and HP. Hardware from other manufacturers will surely hit the market as the adoption rate grows, but it looks like another major company is jumping into the pool closer to launch. A newly discovered leak includes some images of a Samsung-built VR headset that incorporates the Windows Mixed Reality symbol.
In less than a month, Microsoft will commence its efforts to democratize the VR hardware ecosystem and empower consumers with a variety of choices. We’ll have to wait to see how well these new headsets compared to their peers but, the more options, the better when it comes to consumers.

The leaked images, reported by RoadToVR, are from a Twitter user known for digging into patents and they show off a pretty sleek headset that features the flip-up design of other and front-facing cameras of other Windows Mixed Reality headsets, but also looks to have integrated audio as well. Other Windows headsets have an AUX for you to use your own headphones.
Stay tuned to Shacknews as we get closer to the Windows MR launch and we’ll update on this leak if Samsung decides to speak on it.
