Ashes of the Singularity Pairs Massive 2.4 Update With 50% Off Sale
The space-based RTS is getting a huge overhaul and wants to entice some new players into the war.
Ashes of the Singularity has been a breath of fresh air for RTS fans yearning for the grand combat of a Supreme Commander, but developer Stardock isn't sitting back on its laurels. A massive 2.4 update is out today. adding new DLC maps and a ton of balance changes to the game, and to get more fans in, a 50% off sale is being added as well.
Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation normally sells for $39.99 on Steam, but new players will be able to grab it for $19.99 now and continuing on through August 28. The sale will extend to the eight pieces of DLC previously launched for the game as well, as well as the Gold DLC bundle package.
The new patch will add Vulkan graphics rendering support, UI improvements, balance changes, modding, and difficulty tweaks to the campaign and scenarios. Nine new maps will also be added through a free DLC co-op map pack at the same time. The changelog is huge, and too large to reproduce here, but you can check out everything on the official site.
Once the 2.4 update is out the door, Stardock will push forward with its 2.5 update, which will add an Eye of Darkness for the Substrate and some new Juggernauts. That update is planned for release later this year.
