UploadVR reports that, to start QuakeCon 2017, Bethesda has announced release dates for the virtual reality versions of Doom, Skyrim, and Fallout 4 along with a bit of information on the specific VR platforms they'll be available on.

Bethesda showed up to E3 2017 with quite the collection of gaming experiences. Arguably the most important of the bunch, the company shared with the world that they were bringing Doom, Skyrim, and Fallout to VR headsets. These experiences weren't just going to be slices of major franchises, like Final Fantasy XV's VR fishing experience, but full and robust titles. The release dates are as follows:

  • Skyrim VR: November 17th for PSVR (No mention of Rift, Vive release presumably next year)
  • DOOM VFR: December 1st for PSVR and HTC Vive (No mention of Rift)
  • Fallout 4 VR: December 12th for HTC Vive (No mention of Rift, PSVR release presumably next year)

Upload's reporter notes the lack of Oculus Rift dates is likely tied to the ongoing legal disputes between Zenimax (Bethesda's parent company) and Oculus. HTC Vive also let loose this tweet today:

We will update as more information is made available.
