World of Tanks Will Feature 4K Splendor on Xbox One X
World of Tanks is coming to Xbox One X with a clear mandate: look really, really good.
World of Tanks, the massive online sensation that launched on PC in 2011 and is going strong to this day, will soon make an appearance on Xbox One X. It is slated to arrive alongside the console’s launch on November 7, 2017.
In a new trailer, which we’ve embedded here, Microsoft promises the game will feature “true 4K,” which should look especially impressive given the destruction you can rain down on rival tanks and the cities and countryside that surround them. The game, remember, is about tank warfare in the mid-20th century.
World of Tanks will also feature Xbox Arena Tournament play, according to the trailer. The game itself has been “enhanced for Xbox One X,” which will have the most horsepower of any console on the market when it launches.
The World of Tanks games come from wargaming.net, which went from being a relatively unknown developer to a major industry force almost overnight. In addition to creating World of Tanks titles for most platforms, the company has also introduced World of Warplanes and World of Warships, in keeping with the theme its name implies. The company also purchased Gas Powered Games in 2013, and signaled its interest in consoles during that same year when it purchased Day 1 Studios.
Have you played World of Tanks on one of the available platforms yet, and if so, what did you think about it? Are you interested in making it one of the first games you play on your Xbox One X this November?
