Dishonored 2's Death of the Outsider DLC Trailer Aims to Kill A God

The Outsider has the power, and assassins want to take it away permanently.

The Outsider of the Dishonored series has been revered as a god, bestowing powers on the worthy and sitting back to watch the world unfold, with whispered commentary mixed in. Bethesda's upcoming Death of the Outsider DLC for Dishonored 2 looks to banish the Outsider from the world permanently, with the help of two aging assassins.

A new trailer shows off some new gameplay, although it is everything we have come to expect from playing both Corvo and Emily (and Daud in the first game's Knife of Dunwall expansion), but with some new enemies mixed in. Daud returns with a mission for old accomplice Billie Lurk, aka Meagan Foster in Dishonored 2, with the goal of killing the Outsider. Players take on the role of Billie, with new powers and abilities to master.

Actor Michael Madsen returns to voice Daud, while Rosario Dawson and Robin Lord Taylor reprise their roles as Billie and the Outsider, respectively. Players will see new areas of Karnaca, such as underground fight clubs, and investigate the cult-like followers of the Outsider.

Check out the new trailer below to get a look at what's in store when the new DLC hits on September 15 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Speaking of dishonored 2,i think I'm broken.

I put in about 5 hours and I am just bored to death, I don't think I can bring myself to finish it :( Which is a shame because it looks like a lot of work went into it.

You're not broken. It's boring as fuck. I dropped it after the clockwork mansion out of pure boredom.

Better in every way-- except a step back, narratively. I will stubbornly say a great game regardless. But it is held back from being a classic like the first.

It's quite good and well made, but the narrative hooks are not as gripping as the first game and its a big fault of the game. The dialogue is often much too obvious and is unbecoming of the rest of the game's thoughtful and considered design.

It's a very boring game. Sorry, Milleh. :[

I didn't like it as much as the first one, but it was fun. I couldn't make it through a second playthrough, though, maybe because I decided to go ultra violent and the game isn't as much fun when you are fighting the whole time.

I just started Dishonored 2 today, on mission 3 I think. This is just what I needed. The art, the world, the thief-like stealthy gameplay. It somehow feels much more directed than the first game did in terms of level design, which I really appreciate.

Super excited! More stuff from that universe, the better! I'm not sure if I can afford it right away though :/
