This New Metroid: Samus Returns 3DS XL is Red Hot
If you like anything Metroid, you'll want to get your hands on this as soon as its available.
Metroid fans were excited by the E3 news that they would not only be getting Metroid Prime 4 for Nintendo Switch, but an eagerly anticipated 2D version called Metroid: Samus Returns for 3DS. And just to pander to the Samus fans, Nintendo is releasing a special themed 3DS XL at the same time as the new game.
Nintendo tweeted out the reveal along with the September 15 release date. Unfortunately, no price was attached, but recent themed 3DS units ran about $199.99.

The unit appears to be the same as the base model in terms of specs, but does sport the fire red of Samus' suit in the Metroid games. If you need a new XL, watch for the pre-orders to begins, likely in the next few days. Of, course, you may want to pre-order the Metroid amiibo while you are at it, if you want to get the full game experience, that is.

Not everyone is self conscious and worried what a total stranger on a public bus is going to think if they see them playing on a themed handheld console.
Pro tip, strangers don't care and don't matter. You're playing a video game out in public, they're going to think the same thing whether you're playing on a yellow Pokemon DS or a plain black DS.
I don't know any grown men that are that worried about what random people think. If you like something, you like it, someone has a problem with it? They can eff off.
Not to mention, adults are not the only people buying this. I don't see an 18+ sticker on this DS. -

Everybody goin ham on you for that comment, but I'll admit to caring about things like that all the way through my 20's. Definitely would not have gone out and about with a metroid nintendo. I wanted to be somewhere between super cool guy and, oddly, not being noticed at all.
Only now in my mid 30's would I not give much of a shit about it.
