This Punch Out!! Prediction Has Mayweather vs McGregor Down To A Science
YouTuber and film maker Adam Arnali gives us his 8-bit Dream Bout.
In any sensible conversation about the upcoming mega fight between boxing's Floyd Mayweather and the UFC's Conor McGregor, the outcome is generally the same. McGregor is going to lose...it's just a matter of how and when. One YouTube creator and filmmaker has decided to share his on prediction in hilarious fashion by recreating the matchup in classic Punch Out! style and it's just as outrageous as you'd expect.
The animated fight, that lasts three rounds, is created by film maker and YouTuber Adam Arnali and tackles a lot of the actual criticisms of both fighters. Round 1 starts off with Mayweather constantly clinching McGregor, drawing the wrath of referee Mario enough to deduct a point. Later in the 2nd round, McGregor's UFC conditioning starts to break through as he lands a couple lucky power punches before keeling over in exhaustion. The third round...well...just watch for yourself but just know that it ends in a disqualification.
We've gotta give Conor McGregor some credit. Some way some how, he's talked himself into a gigantic payday for a sporting matchup that's all but guaranteed to be one of the top 20 least competitive sporting contests in history. Not only that, he talked spectators into such a fervor during the press conference tours that people will be paying to see this on pay-per-view or even in theaters. Why is that so far-fetched? On August 26th we'll be watching a fighter that is arguably at the very top of the sweet science fight someone that is learning how to box correctly. Pretty sure that's what will happen. But I still kind of like the idea of McGregor getting frustrated and then getting DQ'd for trying an MMA move.

"Wreck" = win in a decision

Conor will lose the least amount of face if it goes to a decision.
I'm not sure Conor has enough juice to last that long in a boxing fight. Mayweather's career has been built around him outlasting his opponents (he lost KO power years ago) and winning points. I'm certain Conor will look good in the first 4-5 rounds, but he's got to be winded by round 8-9.
