Dusk Form Lycanroc to Appear in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon
The upcoming revision of the most recent Pokemon games will include a previously unavailable form of Lycanroc.
The Pokemon Company has announced a new form of Lycanroc, which will appear in the recently announced Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon. The new Dusk Form Lycanroc joins previously available Midday and Midnight forms, nicely sewing up the space that was sandwiched somewhere between them.
“The colors of Dusk Form Lycanroc’s body and eyes differ from those of previously discovered Lycanroc,” noted the official Pokemon site, before adding that “You can’t get Dusk Form Lycanroc on your team by ordinary methods, such as discovering the mysterious Pokemon in the wild.”
The Lycanroc featured in the original Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon titles was capable of evolving during certain times in the day, which would impact whether it turned into a Midday Form Lycanroc or a Midnight Form Lycanroc. The exact criteria to find the new form will be revealed at a later date, but it wouldn’t be history’s greatest surprise if time plays a key component.
Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon are due to arrive on Nintendo 3DS this November, and will feature new story additions and features that build on the wildly successful—but somewhat less ultra—previous versions of the game. Are you ready for another trip to the islands?
