Destiny 2 For PC Prohibits Some Capture and Overlay Software
Some popular PC apps will be incompatible with Bungie’s upcoming shooter.
Loads of PC gamers are waiting patiently for the Destiny 2 Beta that is scheduled for the end of this month. Once the beta goes live, many players will find that certain game capture and overlay apps will not work like they do for virtually every other PC game. In an effort to curb cheating, Bungie explains on their Destiny 2 Help Page that apps using common injection methods will be restricted from use by the game.
Specifically, Bungie names popular capture tools like OBS and Xsplit, which are very popular with game streamers and players who make recordings of their gameplay, as a couple of the apps that will be blocked from fullscreen game capture. The devs explain that using the windowed capture modes of those app will be permitted, though.
Like their game capture counterparts, many overlay apps will also be incompatible with Destiny 2. This includes popular 3rd-party voice chat app overlays used by Discord, Mumble and Teamspeak. Additionally, performance monitoring tools like the popular MSI Afterburner, EVGA Precision, and Fraps will be unavailable for use with the sci-fi loot shooter.
Bungie notes that capture solutions that work at the driver level, specifically nVidia’s Shadowplay and AMD’s Relive will be supported by the Destiny 2 client.

I don't get how hard it is to just download a free open beta and test it out for yourself? It is like people are already like "fuck no" and the beta (which is what all of this about) isn't even out yet. Nobody has to pay anything to test out the beta, and you can always keep your money and wait for reviews of the final game too.
This whole "benefit of the doubt" implies a lack of choice.

I haven't made a final judgement yet, but everything I've heard about it so far has been negative. It feels almost like they're grudingly putting the game on PC, like they're doing us a favour lol.
They want my money they have to convince me this isn't going to be a crap experience, full of random artificial barriers that plays second place to the console version.

Mostly the stuff about no dedicated servers. While it doesn't sound like it's going to be fully peer to peer, it definitely has some peer to peer elements going on which really sucks.
Some of it is about them just not seeming to care too though. Like launching later than the console versions, the fact that several maps armour sets and weapons are only on PS4 and the fact that they never brought the original game ot PC.
I could be wrong, it might end up being great. But they're doing a really bad job of selling it to me right now.-

Yeah, this isn't me reviewing the final game or anything like that. It's just the vibe I'm getting.
Frankly there are so many games released, a game that gives me even a bit of a negative vibe might well go ignored. That may lead to be me missing some otherwise good games but it's just the way it is.
But for an MMO, feeling like the developer doesn't treat your platform equally is kind of a big deal.

Dedicated servers - not a problem in the first game. Not a problem here. Team sizes are so small that it doesn't make sense.
Console version coming first - it sucks, but if it means a better pc version. I'm all for it. Plus it's only around a month. Every expansion in the future will be released at the same time on all platforms.
Exclusive 1 map and some amor sets only on ps4 - they're not on xbox either. it's a paid exclusive by Sony. What does this actually mean though. The amor sets don't mean anything. they're purely cosmetic. The map, while it could be good, will be made available after a year. Don't know the count on the rest of the crucible maps.
Destiny 1 not on pc - them releasing this new game on pc is LITERALLY THEM FIXING THIS PROBLEM.
