Life is Strange: Before the Storm Trailer Digs Into Chloe's Past
A new behind-the-scenes video digs into the voice acting and writing behind Chloe and Rachel.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm tracks Chloe and Rachel before the events of the original story. The game is designed to have choices feel more consequential. Fans have been interested about the idea of playing Chloe for the first time, and a just-released behind the scenes video offers a new perspective on the story being created for the prequel.
Ashly Burch, who is a series writer for Adventure Time on Cartoon Network, has been brought on as a writing consultant for the game to help bring the young Chloe to life in a way that will interest fans. She has also had extensive experience in voice acting in anime series and video games, so she brings that perspective in character preparation as well. She joins Life is Strange writer Zak Gariss in the video to explain how Chloe is being written and how events of her past affect her now.
Rhianna Devries will be voicing the younger Chloe and also provides her insights into how she will bring Chloe to life, while keeping with the way the character was portrayed emotionally in the original game.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm's first three episodes, entitled Awake, will release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on August 31. if you want more background, check out our E3 interview with developer Chris Floyd from Deck Nine Games.
