Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Multiplayer Beta Coming in Early October
Pre-ordering the game will get you into the beta two days earlier than everyone else.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is getting some significant changes over the original, including focusing on the patriotic Empire this time instead of those pesky rebels. At E3, EA promised a beta before the game's launch on November 17, and players will get just that when a multiplayer beta kicks off on October 6.
The beta will include battling around the royal palace on Naboo in Galactic Assault mode, as well as offer players the chance to jump into so iconic Star Wars spacecraft for aerial dogfights in Starfighter Assault mode. More details on the latter will be coming at GamesCom.
Players who pre-order Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will get to dive into the beta early on October 4. Pre-orders will also get you access to Yoda's Epic Lightsaber Mastery Star Card, which is only available while supplies last until the beta ends on October 9. The beta will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and through Origin on PC.
No word on when signups will begin or are even needed, but we'll keep you posted as more details emerge.
