Fable Fortune Delayed Over 'Unexpected Administration Hiccup'
Issue relates to Xbox One, so all platforms have been delayed until July 25 for simultaneous release.
We hear all kinds of excuses and reasons for a game delay. Some have merit, while others just seem to be a PR way of saying "We blew it on projecting the release date." Then there are the strange reasons that just leave you scratching your head, such as the delay of collectible-card-game Fable Fortune.
Luke Borrett, producer with co-developer Mediatonic, took to the official Fable Fortune blog to announce a problem with the Xbox One version of the game. "Due to an unexpected administration hiccup we are unfortunately unable to launch the Xbox One version of Fable Fortune next week and we’ve made the decision to move the launch date back to July 25th on all platforms," he said.
The move means that the Xbox One early preview and PC Early Access versions will still launch simultaneously. The game was previously supposed to launch tomorrow, July 11.
Ex-Lionhead developers launched a Fable Fortune Kickstarter last May, but it then got private investment, negating the need for crowdfunding.
