You can finally play SUPERHOT VR through Steam, no hack required.

Similarly to the modus operandi of the enemies that come flooding into rooms to surround you, Superhot VR exploded onto Steam this morning. To ensure you're caught in the blast radius, developer/publisher Superhot Team is offering the game for 20 percent of its asking price of $24.99 until next Thursday, June 1.

Plenty immersive in regular, old-fashioned reality, Superhot always felt like it was meant to be played in a virtual environment. "Blurring the lines between cautious strategy and unbridled mayhem, Superhot VR is the definitive VR FPS in which time moves only when you move," reads the product description on Steam. "No regenerating health bars. No conveniently placed ammo drops. It's just you, outnumbered and outgunned, grabbing the weapons of fallen enemies to shoot, slice, and maneuver through a hurricane of slow-motion bullets."

Until its addition to Valve's digital platform today, Superhot VR was exclusive to the Oculus Rift. A hack released earlier this month allowed anyone who had purchased the game through the Oculus Store to play it using their HTC Vive headset. Impressively, the hack let players get through the entire game with nary a glitch or crash to be found.
