Most troubling of all, perhaps, was a sentiment the expert said a member of Kushner’s team expressed: that because the virus had hit blue states hardest, a national plan was unnecessary and would not make sense politically. “The political folks believed that because it was going to be relegated to Democratic states, that they could blame those governors, and that would be an effective political strategy,” said the expert.

That logic may have swayed Kushner. “It was very clear that Jared was ultimately the decision maker as to what [plan] was going to come out,” the expert said.

McDonald's and Visa partnered to show fast-food restaurant workers can live on $8.25 an hour if they budget. Unfortunately that budget includes working a second job and not having heat.

Also there's no food!! Apparently groceries are optional? Also a hearty laugh at a $20 health insurance deductible. And a $150 car payment (what is that a 96-month loan?).

These estimated numbers are Lucille Bluth $10 banana levels of out-of-touch.

I'm embarrassed and sad that this mentally sick person lives in the same state as I do.

@readdanwrite asks @drewbrees what the star NFL quarterback thinks about "players kneeling again when the NFL season starts."

@drewbrees: “I will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America or our country.”

Masks don't stop the virus. The holes in the mask are far larger than the virus itself.

I can't seem to find the word bleach in his speech.

Look, I wish Trump was better than this. He's basically the grandpa that is confusing as all get out and just keeps telling you to do things that seem impossible until he gets what he wants. I've dealt with quite a few of them in the construction industry. The thing is, most of them are quite successful. Extremely annoying, but successful. Because it turns out that they are usually right. I don't say this easily, because I'm the guy who usually has to make the crazy shit they want happen. I've been pissed off and angry and frustrated that the person isn't reasonable. And then I figure out a way to get it done when I wouldn't have even tried if the annoying person didn't push me to do it.

If you try, you can figure out what the man is saying. It's rarely what the headlines say (Foxnews or CNN, I don't care), because news companies mostly want you to believe something and will write stories to support that desire. In this case, Trump was saying "Disenfectant kills this virus in 30 seconds. Wouldn't it be great if we could do that internally?" And that's true. If we could find a safe way to replicate what disinfectant does internally that would be great. If we had something that broke apart the outer envelope of the virus like soap does, but does it internally, that would be great. Same with UV light. Here's an article from 3 days ago from Columbia university. https://news.columbia.edu/ultraviolet-technology-virus-covid-19-UV-light . I wouldn't say it the way Trump does and I wouldn't focus on the things Trump does, but that doesn't make him wrong. It certainly doesn't mean I have to assume the very worst of everything that comes out of his mouth.

I swear if we had a water shortage, and he said "we should clean out urine for drinking water", I'd see posts of "HE SAID TO PISS DIRECTLY INTO YOUR MOUTH!"
