Reading thread.

I just finished the Mistborne trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. Good stuff. Sanderson doesn't always construct the best plots (he telegraphs a lot of stuff with overly obvious foreshadowing), but he is great at writing action, and he constructed a pretty cool magical system in the Allomancy thing.

Now I am on to The Water Knife by Paolo Bacigalupi, which was recommended to me by a friend.

Hey y'all do you like screensavers? Apple includes a really cool one with their Apple TV called Aerial that has nice drone footage in HD of various cities at various times of day and a cool guy ripped it and released it for Windows and Mac too:

Whats neat is Apple posts new ones every so often, so it doesn't get stale. You can see clips of the current videos here. if you just want to see the pretty video and get an idea of what this screensaver picks from randomly:

These play back in fullscreen and make a nice relaxing screensaver. People walking by think they are images in a slideshow and then you will see cars or clouds moving =]
