6 wowsSo Twitch streamer, Adriana Chechik, many of you are probably familiar with her other work, broke her back jumping in the foam pit that Lenovo had at their booth for Twitchcon.
Getting past the part where she's going to be on her back for longer than usual, Lenovo truly fucked up here. How do you have a foam pit with not enough foam in it? Supposedly, she signed a waiver, but that doesn't mean shit if the thing is inherently unsafe. Lenovo is going to get the shit sued out of them. And it wasn't just her, others got injured in it as well, so it's not like they didn't know there was a problem.

6 wowsMy office was also basically a dog kennel. Most dogs were fine and most people love dogs so everyone just put up with it. But people kept bringing more and more dogs and some people got really entitled about their dogs at the office. Started acting like other people were second class to their dogs. It got real shitty and some stupid shit happened, loud dogs with inconsiderate owners, a couple of minor bites, vomit, etc. At some point some people asked for a dog free area of campus to be away from dogs.
One day, one person who had moved to the designated dog-free area nearly died from an anaphylactic shock because it turns out they had lethally severe animal allergies and didn't want to disclose to everyone their condition, so they had politely simply moved away to the other, smaller and shitter area, and yet someone thought the DOG FREE PART OF THE CAMPUS WAS A GREAT EXCLUSIVE PLACE FOR HER DOG TO RELAX AWAY FROM OTHER DOGS. I am fucking RAGING just remembering how fucking entitled that asshole was about her dog. This whole time the identity of the person with allergies was being protected, so a communication was made to the whole team that gods were being banned from campus after this event. This fucking woman had the balls to question if the anaphylactic shock actually did happen and whether anyone checked that the person didn't fake it. And throughout the whole thing they acted indignated by the whole thing, like she would have been ok with the other person literally dying so as to not inconvenience her dog. After that dogs were banned from being anywhere onsite across the company, no exceptions. -
