Today I did a good deed if you like wild animals:

I'm a groundskeeper for a place in the middle of nowhere, Ohio and we give permission for a couple of hunters/trappers to hunt etc on the property. This morning a hunter comes in saying he needs help and long story short:

    http://chattypics.com/viewer.php?file=IMG_4884_19sq9pu29m.jpg

Yes, that's a North American Bobcat stuck in a trap. The trap was designed for smaller game and it's a no arm/leg break trap it just goes around the leg preventing it from moving. I talked to the game warden of Ohio and they couldn't get out here until late but they said if you get a piece of plywood and cut a small notch out on the bottom of it and position that over the paw with the trap you can safely get undo the trap.

So that's what this hunter and I did. I held the plywood while he undid the trap. I never heard such a snarl and carrying on understandable. This was a decent sized bobcat.

After it was free we moved back using the plywood as shield to the quad we used to get to it. It walked to us slowly but we make noise and yelled at it and it took off.

That was my fun morning! I'm still jazzed up thinking about it. BIG Kitty! :O

    Guitar Shack:

I did an attempt at Eruption earlier in the week in recognition of Eddie's death a few weeks ago. He was a huge inspiration to me - I started playing after seeing a VH show with my parents at 10 years old. I've been fortunate enough to meet and work with a bunch of pretty big players over the years, but I never met Eddie. Tried several times at NAMM shows out in LA and the line was always so huge that I never made it up to the front.

Not perfect by a long shot, but I think it's close enough for rock n' roll:

Our family got our early votes put in today in NC.

This time we are putting up four votes against Trump instead of two because both my daughter and son are old enough to vote this time around. Felt amazing to take them to vote for the first time, especially to vote against Donald Trump. Hopefully we can help NC go blue this time around.

    Tesla post

#teamblue is nice and all but #teamblack is where it's at!

Took the Tesla out to see the meteor shower and noticed the Milky Way reflecting off the car. To get the stars sharp required focusing to infinity so the car is slightly blurry. Canon RP 35mm F2 30s 3200iso. Edits: Crop/alignment, exposure
