My coworker, friend, and sometimes workout buddy was fired in late February. I guess he had been on thin ice since November. Last week he fell and hit his head hard enough to get serious brain damage. In doing the CT scan, they discovered he has 3 tumors in his brain which are 6.8, and 2x 4.8 cm. He's not sure if he's going to do any treatment but the decisions are in his parents' hands now. He's in his mid to late 30s and without treatment has about 3 weeks to 2 months to live. If he does surgery, there is a good chance that he dies sooner. I don't know how his health care options have changed since he was fired, but I know the situation hasn't improved (US system). Apparently he has been depressed since November but we couldn't tell at work.
I don't have a point. I just need to let this out. -
