I wrote up a Chrome tips post. Probably most of you know most of these but after the "You can press space and shift-spade to scroll the page!" excitement the other day, maybe it will be helpful.

    https://plus.google.com/114128403856330399812/posts/7RZGC7XeybD

My favorites: tab-to-search, alt-enter in the address bar, middle-click tabs to close them, ctrl-shift-t to reopen closed tabs.

Shack's likely favorite: having "open link in incognito window" in the link context menu. Second place: the secret feature that Shackmessages virus about problems you're having with Chrome. I didn't list that though, you have to find the shortcut yourself.

Shared - it's simple, it's just in my head, not written down, so hopefully I don't miss something - thanks to America's Test Kitchen for the Vodka tip.

Ingredients - all based on 9 inch pie plate:

    Crust
-2 and 1/2 cups all purpose flour
    -2 tablespoons sugar
    -1tsp salt
-1 and 1/4 cups lard (I use tenderflake), chilled in fridge for at least an hour, cut into 1 inch cubes
    -1/4 cup ice water
-1/4 cup vodka in the freezer for at least an hour

    Apples:
    -4 large granny smith
-4 large sweeter apples of your choice (cortland, mcintosh etc)

    Coating for apples:
-3/4 to 1 cup sugar (1 cup if apples are very tart)
    -2 and 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
    -1/2 teaspoon salt
    -1 teaspoon allspice
    -1 and 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch

Process - I do this all by hand, but food processors, apple peelers etc would save you time

Crust (work as little as possible of course)
-Mix dry ingredients with a whisk in a large bowl
-Sprinkle lard cubes over top of dry mixture
-Mix lard into dry ingredients until mixture is in crumbs, about the size of peas - use a pastry blender
-Sprinkle vodka and ice water over top of mixture
-Fold mixture into itself, pressing with rubber spatula or a wooden spoon until it starts to stay together
-Divide mixture into 2 balls of the same size, if one ends up being larger, use that for the bottom.
-Press each ball into a 5-6 inch disc, wrap in plastic wrap and store in fridge for at least several hours. Usually I do this the day before I actually make the pie. Don't worry if the discs start to fall apart, just keep pressing them into themselves.

    Apples and coating for apples:
-Apple coating: Mix sugar, salt, cinnamon, allspice and cornstarch together in a bowl
-Peel and core apples, slice thinly into half inch thick slices
-Put apples and apple coating into a large saucepan, mix it up, and cook it on medium heat for about 20 minutes or until the apples are almost as soft as you like in your pie - stir frequently.
-Preheat over to 425F for baking the pie

    Crust continued:
-5-10 minutes before the cooked apple mixture is ready, take the two crust discs out of the fridge and set them on a floured surface (I use wax paper).
-After the pie discs have been out for 5-10 minutes, use a pastry roller (I put my wooden one in the freezer 30 minutes before use), coat the roller in flour, and roll out the bottom disc until it is a circle a bit bigger than the 9 inch pie plate - if it starts to come apart as you roll it and it will, just push it back in on itself - it doesn't have to be perfect - put in pie plate
-Put cooked apples into pie plate ontop of crust
-Roll out second disc (top part of pie) and place over top - for bottom and top I find that folder the rolled out crust around the rolling pin and then placing that in the pie plate works well
-Fold in the edges around the pie, and cut a few slits in the top of the pie for ventilation
-Wrap pie and pie plate in aluminum foil, and put in oven for 30 minutes at 425F
-After 30 minutes, remove pie from oven and remove aluminum foil, reduce over heat to 375F and cook for another 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown

    Step whatever: ENJOY MOTHERFUCKERS!

Tired of FTL? Want new shit? Try this http://goo.gl/L6Dlk

"Sonata is a total conversion mod for FTL based on the storyline of Endless Space by Amplitude Studios, with modifications. It aims to create a gritty, realistic, and morally ambiguous story on the FTL engine where politics, motivations, and the nature of humanity itself affect your journey."

Shack book readers: I'm about to finish "The Wise Mans Fear.". I've blown though that and Name of the Wind pretty quick. Looking for some good stuff to read after these two amazing books.

    Things I like:
    Dune
    World War Z
    Let the Right One In
    Pillars of the Earth
    Harry Potter
    Enders Game
    Dark Tower

I like a cool universe but above all I really enjoy engaging characters. So what are your favorite books Shack?
