There was a story about a flight from Aussie to NZ where suddenly shifts while airborne caused passengers to go flying and several had to be checked for injuries once landed. Initially the reports chalked it up to sudden turbulence.
However, a passanger from that flight is now saying the pilot told him they briefly lost instruments on that flight.

Also Boeing related but mentioned yesterday: the whistleblower that reporting on poor quality control at one of Boeing's S. Carolina plants was found dead, apparently from a self-inflicted wound, days after testifying about that.
