UPDATE - I made the post and grabbed some coffee. Figured this was worth an hour to decide upon. I googled a bit and it looks like 3rd party options are no cheaper.

Went back and just said I’d pay it. They told me they would give me a loaner for the day and I then asked if I had to pay if the windshield on that got a stress fracture while parked in my garage. Then they told me I could no longer have the loaner and they wouldn’t work on my car. The manager didn’t like being called a liar about the crack earlier but my suggestion would be to not lie then. I did offer to give him or any employee there my Tesla if they could throw any object at the windshield and crack it without causing an impact dent.

At some point these are people just doing their job once again I assume they have a policy behind doors where they can never accept vehicle defects. But it’s hard for me not to laser focus in on details when it’s black and white. Anyways now I have another appointment at a different service center in 47 days where I’ll end up having to pay what I would of today if I just pretended to be as dumb as they hope people are.

My aunt began falling and saying weird things a couple months ago. She ends up in a hospital. Gets all the tests and parkinson’s and dementia are a couple words thrown around, but we all know she’s been on a steady cocktail of vicodin, adderal, and ambien for the last 30 years. She kept trying to call me, but every time I call or texted back it goes to VM or no delivery on an iphone. Seems like I’m blocked but I don’t want to escalate. One of her kids got ahold of my aunt’s bank account and changed the password. There is a new person in their (kids’) life that we don’t know. I visit my aunt yesterday and at one point I show her, see look I’m calling now. Nothing. She’s confused. I grab her phone and found my number, my wife’s, and one of my kids on her blocked list. “How did you fix it?!” “A setting.” One of her other daughters texts me saying we just missed you, I was gonna tell you to visit tomorrow. ?! Her other daughter is a former heroin addict who stole a diamond from my wife about 15 years ago. Things are getting super ugly between the three kids. My mom is starting to lose it

So, who put our numbers on block? I found our contact info blocked most recently, about two months ago about when things got messy. Out of all of the numbers I went through, hardly any were from her contacts. I told my wife to not tell anyone I found out
