Went to the hospital a few months ago, peak heart rate of 192. In a 24h period I had had like 4 coke zeros, my usual morning Monster Zero, and some medicine with caffeine in it(I think excedrin to help deal with tooth surgery).

Crazy high rate for at least an hour. Haven't really had anything more than a coke recently and it's been better.

I do feel like there's something to say for probably not slamming a bunch to sit in a chair. Haven't had much of a problem if I'm actually doing stuff but don't really feel like experiencing adenosine again.

I've gone back to an active labor job since, so who knows if I'm actually burning it now or what. Ideally you shouldn't mainline it, I think.

Holy fucking shit, sabotaging peace negotiations now.

My god I’m so fucking mad. So apparently a local cop died while on duty…in a car accident…he might have caused. Anyhow Memphis Police decided it would be a good idea to shut down the entire interstate while they did their funeral procession, for 2 fucking hours. I was stuck in this bullshit for 3 HOURS, and JUST got home. My poor son waited for 2 of those hours in 109 degrees for me to pick him up. Fuck cops.

I had a CT scan today which was normal and met with a neurologist and we've all figured out what happened to me last week. I take 20mg of Quietipine (Seroquel) every night and I've been on it for months purely to help me sleep. Seroquel is an atypical antipsychotic sedative that sometimes gets handed out if other sleep aids don't work. 20mg is the absolute lowest dose you can take.

Well, apparently if you mix Seroquel with sleep apnea it can equal death. The Seroquel causes respiratory problems and seriously increases the amount of sleep apnea events a person has, which means prolonged oxygen deprivation and that's ultimately what damaged my optic nerve.

So, a sleeping pill made my apnea 10x worse and it almost killed me.

I'm pissed that my psych didn't ask if I had sleep apnea before they prescribed the stuff to me as I've been on Ambien, Trazadone, and other sleep aids throughout my life without problems. Seroquel was the winning ticket to hypoxia town and now I'm left with a blurry left eye which is luckily getting better every day.

So, yeah. Sleep study is still very much coming up to fix my sleep apnea but I can't ever take another sleeping pill again in my life or it's possibly jingledeath for me.

I'm kind of embarrassed that I let this happen as I'm pretty diligent about googling up shit that I take but I wrongly assumed doctors would factor in medical history before prescribing me shit. I'm just worried that my eye will permanently be fucked because I wanted to be able to sleep at night. It is what it is and I'm getting better but I'm salty that this happened.
