11 tagsI finally tried one of the next-gen Skyrim wabbajack modpacks (Eldergleam) with 1300+ mods! It's super straightforward to install and I've never seen Skyrim look so good. You need a premium Nexus again to quickly download everything though. The LODS are almost perfect and the textures/rocks are properly blended into the environment. It's also not just hi res textures slapped on everything. All player and NPC animations are replaced too, which makes a huge difference.
Some screens I took. They're a bit blurry on the PC monitor, but look great on the OLED TV. I think the OLED upscales/sharpens the image some.

There is one mod (Attack_MCO-DXP_v1.6.0.6.zip.download_package) that was taken down from Nexus and needs to be added to the wabbajack resource folder manually:

11 tagsAMD CPU CYBERPUNKS
I have just tested this Hexedit trick out and on my Ryzen 3600 with a 3080 I increased my FPS in Cyberpunk by about 10-15 which means I'm sitting right around a consistent 60fps@1440p with everything on Ultra and RT on Psycho.
Here's the guide:
1. Download HxD hex editor
2. Find your Cyberpunk2077.exe, i have GOG so mines was in Cyberpunk 2077binx64
3. Make a backup copy of Cyberpunk2077.exe just in case
4. Drag Cuberpunk2077.exe to HxD, a bunch of hex numbers should appear (like 01 FF 0D, etc)
5. Press CTRL+F, change column to Hex-Values
6. Put in “75 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08” in the search string without quotes, those values should be highlighted
7. Copy “EB 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08” without quotes
8. Back in HxD right click the highlighted values and select “paste insert”
9. Now go to top bar and click the save icon logo -

11 tagsIf literally all you want to look at is the moon and planets I'd get a little refractor -- something like a FirstLight from ExploreScientific. Avoid cheaping out on the brand. Even Celestron put out a lot of sub-bar junk.

My favorite telescope for the price / size / weight is still the Astronomers Without Borders OneSky on an Explore Scientific Twilight I Mount.

There are always better scopes out there, but better can mean a variety of things. One factor that is very frequently underestimated is portability and time to set up / tear down. The more involved it is to move and set up the less you'll use it. Fancy motorized go-to scopes are often heavy, bulky, and more trouble to set up / tear down -- but also they rob you of the experience of learning the sky by sight which I truly believe is one of the most valuable parts of sky watching. I really dislike the motorized scopes for all but astrophotography, which is another terrifically expensive ball of yarn.
Another thing that should not be underestimated is a decent pair of 10x50 binoculars and maybe a monopod. This won't do much for Jupiter (it'll show you the moons but no surface detail) or anything for Saturn, but it can definitely provide views of star clusters and would make a great sidekick to a little refractor like the one I posted above. I never go skywatching without binoculars and even when I bring a scope I spend at least as much time looking through the binoculars.

The old standby suggestion that you'll see / hear frequently -- maybe even in this thread from someone else before I hit post -- is to go out and buy a big 8" or 10" dobsonian like the Orion XT8 or XT10. They're super simple and very powerful, but they're also kinda bulky to move around and store. But if you're never leaving your yard / driveway or have a big van / truck it's still an excellent recommendation. I like ExploreScientific so I'm going to link their offerings.

11 tagsI am going to start a brain dump here, its unorganized and far from done (need to go get supper ready for my kids now), but over time I will finish it and add pictures - next time I do pizza I will make a point of taking pictures, maybe even some video
This is definitely not the best way to make pizza, but its what works for me after making like 300 pizzas, i like it because its a good balance between convenience and end result
