I seriously have lost all hope now:

Germany has stopped vaccinations with Astra-Zeneca. My state has stopped vaccinations with Biontex/Pfizer, too. We were lagging wayyyyyy behind almost all countries in the world (who vaccinate) anyway and now this. We are at 8% (EIGHT!) vs. 32% (U.S.) for 1st dose.
This comes after reports of blood clots/thrombosis and deaths after vaccinations.
The rate of thrombosis from taking contraceptive pills is a lot higher than that - and no one cares about women taking it. The rate of thrombosis during flights is 5 in 10,000.

Now my parents and wife have no outlook towards being vaccinated within the next weeks.
The vaccine I got last week is now declared dangerous.
My county has an 7-day-incidence value that rose from 60 to 140 within 5 days.
My city's incidence has risen from 70 to 340 with 5 days.
There is B.1.1.7 in the primary school around the corner from us.
Two cases in the class of my older son. One of them he has seen last Friday.
We have declared that my youngest son won't go to school - although we might violate laws. We don't care anymore.

The Third Wave will hit Germany harder than the Second Wave. The measures will come but they will be too late again.
Fuck all our politicians.

It only took a wave of QAnon-bullshit and the change from Trump to Biden to quickly turn the tides how the view on coping with the pandemic can be seen.
