So my motherboard just caught fire briefly. Saw that the PC was not responsive after using it 5 minutes prior and turned it off. Turn it back on and saw a spark fly through the top of the board then a flame followed by smoke. Turned off immediately.

Looks like back of MOSFETs burned off, but on the front the flame was near the CPU fan headers.

I had a fan controller plugged into the CPU fan but the fan controller was Howard fire molex also so not sure what caused it to break.

Ugh. Just got a company wide email from our CEO announcing mandatory in office M-Th.

Let's completely ignore that every year since 2020 we've had continued record-breaking growth and profitability while working mostly remote. Must have been a complete fluke.
