As it turns out when my retina started separating it took a blood vessel with it so the thousands of floaters I've been seeing were caused by the blood released from the vessel. Due to all the blood they couldn't use a laser so they used cryo instead to freeze the tears and stimulate scar tissue production.
Between the needles in the eyeball and the freezing process I have to say it's was not nearly as much fun as I thought it would be. Do not recommend (unless your retina is threatening to detach, then I fully recommend... but it's probably best to scratch it off any list of fun things to do you may have lying around).

7 wowsYay! I just got in a FUCKING car accident, and somehow I'm at fault! My car is most likely fucked, I'm pretty sure the front driver's side wheel came off.
I was turning left out of a parking lot and saw a car coming with its turn signal on and a car behind it but I had plenty of time, but as soon as I pulled out this car, I'm not even sure which one just plowed into me. I think maybe the car behind the turning car passed them but it's like they appeared out of nowhere.
Now I'm currently sitting at the hospital awaiting X-rays. My left shoulder, and the whole left side of my body hurts in a way I can't even describe. A week ago my cat, now this, this is officially the worst fucking Christmas yet.
