I generally don't post private stuff here, but, I need to vent.

We took our 5 year ridegback to the vet today because he's not been eating and been generally lethargic. After an ultra sound and ct scan and blood work, we find out he has a liver full of tumors and only a few days to live.

About 3 hours ago, my other ridgeback suddenly collapses on the floor and cant get up. We rushed her to the emergency vet and...

She has a large mass and blood in her abdomen. She's not going to make it through the night and my girls are on the way up there right now to say goodbye. I had to tell her goodbye in a crowded vet emergency room and can't even be there for the shot because someone has to be at home with the other dying dog.

All in one fucking day. I'm in shock and not in a good place. Hug your pets.

I just learned a very important lesson:

drink a lot of water

Ever since having kids, almost daily I've been having bad lower left abdominal pain, by early evening often requiring me to sit or lie down. Ultra sounds and other tests revealed nothing, so I've just loved with it.

I assumed it was stress related, because it almost always happened toward the end of the day, while we're trying to wrap work up, get meals prepared, with the kids arriving home from school / child care.

I was wrong!

Turns out when I get stressed, I eat quickly and almost always don't drink while I eat, since I'm usually doing things like feeding the kids while I'm eating.

A few weeks ago it was getting worse, so I took the time to think about what else it could be, so I started to consciously have a drink of water after every bite of food, and the pain has 100% vanished, going on 3-4 weeks now pain free.

So 10+ years of pain, because I wasn't drinking enough water.

A buddy of mine got into a fight with a deer when he was 16. He was hunting while his dad was in a different stand about a half mile away. He took a shot on a decent sized buck, and it dropped right there. He got down out of the stand and walked the 150 yards to it, set his rifle down, got right up to it and nudged it with his foot. The deer jumped up and rammed its antlers across his belly, and then started kicking him with its front legs. He is a big, strong guy, even back then, and he said it was the strongest thing he ever felt in his life. He was battling this deer for what felt like ten minutes, while he saw his own blood from his belly soaking his shirt. At that moment, he suddenly remembered that he had his 1911 holstered on his belt. He was barely able to get his hand down to it, but he did it, and just blind fired seven shots into the body of the deer, which kept fighting him until it finally went limp.

He collapsed with it, and his dad started yelling on the walkie talkie asking him what was going on with all that shooting. He told him:
"I got into a fight with a deer!"
"You what?!"
"I fought a deer! and it tore my belly open! Come here quick!"

His dad got there, and found both him and the deer in a bloody mess on the ground. He didn't want to show his dad his belly because he thought he was holding his guts in. His dad was able to take a look under his shirt, and saw that the deer's antlers had just scraped the top layers of skin off over his belly with several large, deep scratches. He was fine. The deer was not. They took it to the deer processor, and the story spread around our community when guys visiting the deer processor saw the meat hanging in the cooler with seven shots through it.

As for why the deer survived the first shot, they think he missed it, and the deer must have fainted, because they didn't find any rifle shot on it. Crazy, but true story. Was written up in Field and Stream over 30 years ago.

The question is, with the wide open border and millions of illegals pouring in daily, the stealing at the ballot boxes and censoring conservative news, and Republican incumbents being removed from the ballot and financing Nikki Haley and so on, why do the powers that be need this dynamic duo to sway the vote? Don’t they have enough dirty tricks up their sleeves as it is? Think about it. If Taylor Swift is really owned by [George] Soros, we might actually have a rare chance to unite against him. Using Taylor Swift as the Trojan horse instead of pushing the Alphabet Mafia and murdering of babies to her fans, she should be warning about the dangers of the corrupt elites.
