Not saying you’re not a responsible gun owner, bit if feels like it’d be all to easy for something tragic to happen in a similar situation.

You guys are so great, Chance will be happy with all this support he is getting from everyone. I am at home right now packing some things up to take back to the hospital. No way I could provide the financial support I wanted to for him without your guys help right now.. It has just blown my mind and the wifes of what you guys have done for us. I wanted to thank everyone and a special thanks to Milleh for starting this. I dont even really have the words to express what I want to say but thanks from us, this just helps out so much for Chance. Chance pretty much has a fund for all the things he might need for his stay. It is so nice to have 1 thing that me or the wife just dont have to worry about or stress over and we can focus on him getting better. What ever I can do to make this better thats all I want for my son and this just helps a ton.


Again thanks so much for all the support you guys mean a lot to us. I hope its alright to keep everyone updated with his progress, He is going to get better and will be stronger because of this.

A couple of reasons.

1. Transparency in moderation is good for the community
2. It gives the other posters clear indication on what is bannable
3. Posters get to discuss the ban itself and as long as it's done in a productive manner it will be allowed

And my favourite

5. The subject of the ban gets to see that other people also don't agree with their post. The amount of back and forth messages I do with people who are banned would span forever. Now I get to say, go look at the thread and see that what you posted is not cool.

Nothing against you personally, but I interpret this post to mean you were happy with the republican politics of the Obama era, but unhappy with the current state of affairs.

My take on Boehner is that he is directly responsible for Trump, although it’s not the outcome he wanted, Trump is the conclusion.

Boehner made the calculation in 2008 that if they could run the entire party as an opposition party then they could pin the blame of the Bush recession (due to unregulated banks) onto Obama and then by the time 2016 came along people would be so fed up with Washington disfunction that they would vote against their best interests; namely use the recovery to pay for tax cuts to the wealthy and business.

And you know what, he was right. It worked beautifully. What Boehner didn’t plan on was Russian interfering and Trump co-opting his message and amplifying the Boehner dog whistle to a megaphone of hate and intolerance. Boehner set up the world of alternative news and facts and made mainstream the ability to flatly deny news that you didn’t like. This would work partly by a pre existing negative view of Obama partly due to latent racism in the US, fueled by the birther conspiracy that Boehner and the republicans were happy to let fester even if they didn’t fuel it themselves. While he was hoping to build a party friendly to the conservative traditional white wealthy businessmen, the machinery that he build turned against him and devoured him.

Your idolization or Boehner is not something I’ll judge you by. I just think you and Boehner both were willing to play with fire to get what you want and ended up setting the whole house on fire and now we all have to deal with it. US Politics is broken right now. Sorry you guys didn’t get what you wanted, too.

Diehard PC people will confirm this, but as someone who played a lot of doom and quake and duke I still loved Goldeneye and think it was a great FPS of the time.

Two things:

1) Unlimited is supposed to mean "unlimited as long as you are producing at a rate and quality expected of someone at your level", so you have to judge along those lines and not just total vacation taken

2) Unlimited vacation time is a policy invented by asshole corporate bean counters who don't want to have to pay out unused vacation time when a person quits. Employees should abuse such a policy since the policy was invented to abuse the employee.
