I have seen so much bad anime and have zero patience for it. I hate chibis, cutesy shrieking girls, those stupid animal sidekicks.... it pretty much means I hate 99% of anime.

But I really regret not watching The Devil Is A Part Timer on Netflix sooner. At first it was just “ok, I can watch this” but it’s gotten really good! And AMAZINGLY the dubbing is way WAY better than the subs. Definitely not what I expected.

So yeah heads up, guys!

Book Recommendation time

On a Cyberpunk binge. Just finished reading Market forces by Richard Morgan (author of Altered Carbon). It's pretty much wall street meets Mad Max. Definitely his most bleak novel to date and least cyber punk. Overall pretty good however I think the concept would have worked better in the 80's.

I have ALREADY sampled some of this in my head. In fact, as I keep listening, I bet I'll hit some stuff I actually *did* sample. I mined old kung fu, samurai, ninja (and anime!) movies before Gravediggaz / Wu dropped. Go *listen* to Sonny Chiba's Street Fighter movies.

UPDATE: 3/4s through, haven't hit anything I sampled yet. This fresh new vein of funk will be most welcomed.
