Not wanting to threadshit, but it strikes me as RIDICULOUSLY SHORTSIGHTED that world organisations and governments are sinking massive resources into space exploration, when we have the HUGE THREAT of global warming that is going to really mess up the planet , very soon.

What the hell are these guys thinking ? What's the point of CERN? To find some elusive 'god' particle ? Incredibly expensive. FFS this money should have gone into research concerning global warming.

The state of Florida just legally ok'd the death of a young man for being black. I don't agree with the actions of the rioters, but any excuse? That's dismissive of a person who died tragically.
