That actually happened (almost) to one of my sisters. Her boyfriend began complaining about the smell and refusing to go down on her, she investigated and found a rotting tampon she must have forgotten about. Ooops!

Yea. I was walking the dog alone late at night on a sidewalk by a park. I was late teen / early 20s ish, 100 lb woman.

A car drives by me, sees me and slows down then pulls over a few feet in front of me. Guy gets out of his car, pops the trunk and starts taking out what looks like rope from the trunk.

I took off running with the dog into the dark :/

I don't have all of the details, but I found out last night that one of my friends I've know for the last 15 years was raided by the FBI yesterday and arrested officially for "Lewd or Lascivious Acts With a Child Under Fourteen". I don't know the details of what transpired, so I'm just using the official crime he was charged with.

What little I do know is that apparently pictures of a minor were found on the darkweb, and the FBI used facial recognition to identity the victum as my friend's daughter, who is now an adult. I guess the FBI conducted an investigation and contacted his daughter, and initially she was covering for him, but eventually told them what had happened. That's all I really know, and I don't know exactly what he did, nor do I care to know.

We found out via his wife, who contacted us to let us know she wasn't planning on bailing him out and asked taht if he called us, she didn't want any of us to help him bail out either. She's already filing for divorce and getting a restraining order.

I'm still kind of in shock. It's absolutely horrible and I feel so incredibly sorry for his entire family. I'm disappointed and deeply disgusted, and it's hard to accept that this happened. Despite the horrendous nature of his actions, there's still a part of me that feels oddly sad for him too. I know what he did was terrible, but someone I've considered a close friend for 15+ years (he was one of my groomsmen, ffs) life is now over in a horrendous way.

Ultimately, I'm just in shock and posting here because I'm struggling to process everything. If he does reach out to me for assistance with getting bailed out or any other reason, I'm not quite sure what I'll say to him yet. I'll definitely respect his wife's wishes not to bail him out, since she and the rest of the family are probably having a hard enough time dealing with this right now, and I'm sure him being out of the way right now is a good thing for everyone involved. But I still just don't know what exactly I'll say to him.

Man, what a completely fucked up situation. I'm so just so shocked by all of this.

A wrongful death lawsuit tied to COVID-19 infections in a Waterloo pork processing plant alleges that during the initial stages the pandemic, Tyson Foods ordered employees to report for work while supervisors privately wagered money on the number of workers who would be sickened by the deadly virus.

The lawsuit alleges that despite the uncontrolled spread of the virus at the plant, Tyson required its employees to work long hours in cramped conditions without providing the appropriate personal protective equipment and without ensuring workplace-safety measures were followed.

The lawsuit was recently amended and includes a number of new allegations against the company and plant officials. Among them:

In mid-April, around the time Black Hawk County Sherriff Tony Thompson visited the plant and reported the working conditions there “shook [him] to the core,” plant manager Tom Hart organized a cash-buy-in, winner-take-all, betting pool for supervisors and managers to wager how many plant employees would test positive for COVID-19.

John Casey, an upper-level manager at the plant, is alleged to have explicitly directed supervisors to ignore symptoms of COVID-19, telling them to show up to work even if they were exhibiting symptoms of the virus. Casey reportedly referred to COVID-19 as the “glorified flu” and told workers not to worry about it because “it’s not a big deal” and “everyone is going to get it.”

So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly...and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!
