Can we have another sci-fi book thread?

I recently finished Warship: Blackfleet Trilogy (Joshua Dalzelle). I had low expectations. I on a layover in Atlanta and having just finished Elantris, I realized I didn't have anything unread on my Kindle. I bought it in a rush just before takeoff and I was pleasantly surprised. Military/hard sci-fi, easy reading and a fast pace. I'll read the second book in the series, for sure.
