Baby Lev update!
Baby is just over 2 months at this point, and things are good. To be honest, this has been *way* easier than I thought it would be. Several things contribute to the ease, as outlined below:
- She is SO fucking cute. Seriously.
- We both get a fair bit of time off. 12 weeks for klev and 4 weeks for me. I used 2 weeks right away and then used the other 10 days to go to 80% for 10 weeks.
- That, plus holidays, plus other PTO means I’ve been working 3 day weeks for a while
- Working from home even when working means that I’m able to stay on top of dishes, cooking, etc.
- Good health for all of us. If any of us were sick, throw all of the above out the window. I can’t imagine.
- Taking Cara Babies
So, we did the Taking Cara Babies newborn class, and holy shit, I cannot recommend it enough. Baby girl is sleeping 9 hours straight at night now, and goes down super easy for her naps. Literally go into the bedroom, turn on white noise, swaddle her up, set her down, and walk away.
She’s gaining weight like a champ, too, so she’s eating plenty and hitting all her milestones early.
Dad life is A+ and all my fears and nervousness are evaporating pretty quickly.
Looking cute with her ear muffs while we did the smoke alarm test.
