Bezos is an idiot and I hate him for a simple reason. He could, with a few changes, make Amazon the best place to work in the history of the world from the top of the company to the bottom. Amazon has the money to do it. They could have the best benefits, the best environment to work, the best culture. Everything that would make a place the best to work they could implement and still make billions. He would gain the reputation as one of the best people ever. But he won’t do it because it would mean he wouldn’t have quite as much money. Dick.

I think this is my last pic in uniform. It's kind of special to me because by this time I have the gold-rimmed presidential unit citation for work with nuclear arms control. It was awarded by then President Ronald Reagan. The medal is just above my name tag. Notice that my name is also written in Cyrillic because I was in charge of major construction to house Soviet and American scientists in the US, Germany and Japan. The opportunities and challenges were really absolutely fascinating. It was a great opportunity to excel.

In the earlier photo, I was a brand new lieutenant just getting the required marksmanship training. I qualified but it was not my thing. I preferred working with peace treaties and things that have never been done before and that's exactly what I did. :)
