Apparently there is a hidden power plan in Windows 10, called Ultimate Performance.

You have to enable it with this command from an Admin Command Prompt:
powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61

After you run the command it will show in the Power Plan profiles as an available power plan.

"This new policy builds on the current High-Performance policy, and it goes a step further to eliminate micro-latencies associated with fine grained power management techniques. As the power scheme is geared towards reducing micro-latencies, it may directly impact hardware and consume more power than the default balanced plan."


I did notice running a few games things seem a lot smoother.. less stutters! So well worth flipping over to this profile when your going to do some gaming!!

I wrote the first version of this thing when I was in my final two weeks at my first job, where I spent 15 years getting paid to learn how to program robots, automated machines and vision systems, and every year when this comes around, I can't believe how much time's passed since I left that job. Tommy was five when I wrote this thing -- now he's a big pile of gross 17 year old. Heck, I was almost still young. My how things have changed. :*)
