Since my kids are sleeping at a friend's house and tomorrow is mothers day and I promised to one day post a picture of my wife, today ill cheat and post the most recent picture I have with her and I from our trip to Mexico last week

She's an amazing person, the best mother our kids could ever ask for, and she's absolutely a better person than I am in pretty much every way, I feel very lucky.

First lawn mow of the season today, then the kids are having a friend over for the night for a Roblox / YouTube party 0_o Going to prep some food for Mother's Day dinner tomorrow night :D

18 awwsThe kiddo and I gave each other one of our Xmas gifts for each other today.
I got her a cuddly Dragon pillow and she bought me a powered 4 port usb hub. She had bought one for herself a couple months back when she started getting serious about twitch/youtube streaming and I offhandedly remarked I needed to get me one since only 2 of the 3 ports on my laptop work and apparently she remembered that.
This is our 2nd Xmas together since I got her back on New Year's Day 2019 and it's already awesome. 💙 my freaking munchkin. -

My dad died last night.
He'd been diagnosed with metastatic pulmonary cancer not that long ago, but in the end he was swiftly taken away by a ruptured intestine. His last week was one of immense pain until it was too much and he asked to go to the ER, which he hated with a passion. They filled him with pain meds but he was still visibly uncomfortable. He didn't speak, not coherently. I hope he still heard and understood us. My sister, gf and I went to say goodbyes, thinking we'd still see him again later, but he passed right after they moved him into a room. His nephew was with him, so at least he wasn't alone.
My dad was a good guy. He was quiet but opinionated, and curious. He didn't trust the internet and sucked with computers but he was good with his hands. He knew how to fix and build stuff. How to get by. He wasn't exactly an artist but he used to draw me simple things from reference when I was young, and I think it got me into illustration and art. We didn't talk much but we laughed.
He was a good dad.
