Neat little browser game with a cool sci-fi story about a starship that is sent into the void to find a new planet for the human race to colonize. http://philome.la/johnayliff/seedship/play
My current high score is on Planet Bounty which has a Corrupt Information Age Democracy and a score of 8404

19 tagsShackers Learning to Code
A friend just told me about this site, www.HackerRank.com. It is way better than CodeAcademy IMO. They provide the problems, an inline IDE w/ Intellisense and like 26 languages to choose from (so if you do Java vs C# or C) to solve the problem with. They've got Algorithms, DataStructures, Machine Learning, etc. -
19 tagsI wrote words on the internet again. This one kind of blew up unexpectedly. Hit #1 on r/programming and has over 40k views in basically 24 hours. Totally didn't see that coming. I've actually been sitting on the post since December since I wasn't sure if it was even worth posting. Anyhow, here it is if you're into that kind of thing.

19 tagsI thought so, but no. DVDFab Passkey Lite (free) is all that you need: http://www.dvdfab.cn/passkey-lite.htm
1) Insert a disc
2) Let DVDFab Passkey scan the disc and automatically decrypt it.
3) Open disc in MPC-HC or VLC.
You won't get blu menus (have to plop down $60-100 for PowerDVD for that), but this is how I roll and I actually get an even better picture than PowerDVD using the MadVR decoder. -
19 tagsFor any new Kerbal players, or even just new career mode players, I found Scott Manley's new "career mode guide for beginners" helpful:

Basically, how to get started in career mode and collect a good amount of science to get you into some more complicated missions. -
19 tagsProgrammer dudes.. What are some of your favorite interview coding questions? In what ways do you typically expand on the problem when they first figure it out?
