Gang my 3 mo premature baby finally is outta the NICU!

Right at the end as they were preparing to send him home on an oxygen tank he started being totally fine with room air..so we got to take him home totally free of wires and tubes and he's been doing great!

And to close out my Bakersfield fall experience, this week finally got to hang a little bit with Bakersfield ShackMeet ambassador Galadriel07 and she even knitted us something cute for him :)

Gonna hang in San Francisco where MY WIFE's sister is a pediatric nurse and can help us get into see specialists to make sure he is 100% ahead of returning to PR in about a month.

Been a very very long road from an awful call Sept 15 to here..1 lb 13oz to now 9 lbs ..104 days hanging out an ICU watching a baby slowly outgrow a lot of issues. But here we are, he's a happy chunky baby with basically nothing wrong that we know about. Phew. Really appreciate all the folks who reached out with supportive notes and SM's with info. Meant so much and pointed me in the right direction on a number of things.

Peppers Popcornpants recently got very sick and after vet visits and hospitalization, the best thing to do was put him down. The chubby orange peegy will be missed.

Ignore the gut, 40% of it is from slouching, I swear. But one of our seven chickens loves being held, or just on us. Anytime my wife is squatting in the coop, she'll jump up on her back and run up to her shoulders. This was her laying on my stomach 15 min ago. We named her Marshmallow because our niece demanded it.

    new addition to the family.

    Cody the doge

he's totally afraid of his own shadow and our Maine coon kitty Moose is bigger than him which is comical to see. I'm not the dog guy in the house but he's attached himself to me and just settled in.

He was a rescue from a family who tried him for a few days and they claimed he couldn't get along with their dog. So far that's proving to be total BS as our 8 year old Bonnie gets along fine and he's completely unreactive to our cats. but it's only day 2. we'll see. :-)

Our old lady cat Cecile went to the big farm upstate with the help of the lovely folks at the vet hospital yesterday.

She was incredibly skittish when we adopted her two years ago, but eventually warmed up to my wife and I enough that we could occasionally give her scratchies behind her ears for a few moments before she would run off. She enjoyed her stuffed taco toy, her heating pad, and the big blue chair. I miss her a lot. Give your pets an extra hug today.

Happy Valentine's Day from Chase, Tony Swiftbottom, and Vincent Thundersqueak!

We almost lost Tony a couple of weeks ago. He stopped eating and things looked pretty dire. But thanks to a great vet he is back to being his sweet self.

Well today marks the 3rd anniversary of our first miscarriage. We had two more during lockdown.

Since then we’ve been through several rounds of IVF. All failed, today again was another failure. We’ve basically wiped out all of our savings at this point.

Even if we had money not sure I could continue. I’m exhausted by constant disappointment.
