22 tagsI share my love for most things Disney with many other shackers on here, for the past year was seeking out employment as Disney vacation trip planner and I'm now employed by moments of magic travel! My official title is "Travel Concierge specializing in Disney Destination Vacations." It's a mouthful, but it basically means I'll only help book, plan out, share tips & tricks, and create customized itineraries for Disney vacations (all parks around the world, cruises, adventures by Disney, Aulani). The great part is it's FREE to use me and you'll still get the best/same deal that you can get from anywhere else. ALSO - I'll hook any and all shackers up with Disney gift cards when they use me to book their Disney Vacation (sharing my commission)! There's not catch and no strings attached. I will help as much or as little as you want/need - from tips for external grocery and stroller rentals, optimal days to visit the parks during your trip, park opening/ rope drop strategies, rider swap ride strategies, optimal times for fast pass and dining reservations, and other tips to wait less and see more in the park and on the cruises. Even for folks like Conandan, who go to Disney World several times a year and know exactly how and what they want to do, I'll still hook you up with Disney gift cards by allowing me to book your trip and thus getting Disney to pay me a commission. I promise not to spam the chatty all the time about booking Disney trips through me. AMA!
Giveaway time! At around 9pm central time I'll randomly select someone who replied to this thread and has a minimum 500 posts to win your choice of a $50 Disney gift card or $50 Steam gift card. Reply or ask a question! -

22 tagsPC couch gamers, a couple days ago Socksta mentioned a program called Controller Companion.
It is GREAT, so great that I don't know why this isn't built into Windows. It lets you navigate the desktop with a XBox 360/One gamepad, it scrolls windows, controls your media player, controls volume, has a great on-screen keyboard, and it automatically disables itself when you use Steam Big Picture. It even has a shortcut to shut off the controller. I have no idea why gamepad shutdown by default is still only via timer or popping out a battery.

Its also available on Steam. The downside running it through Steam is that it shows you as playing "Controller Companion" instead of the game that you're actually playing. Either way I can't recommend it highly enough. -

22 tagsProgramming / Learning / Python
So I'm running a May study group for http://reddit.com/r/learnpython aimed at beginners wanting to learn Python
We're working our way through the free book at http://learnpythonthehardway.com/book helping each other through the exercises, with myself and a few other Python mentors helping out. We started May 1st and plan on finishing the book by the end of May.
https://moot.it/learnpython is where the exercises and discussion is happening. Stop by if you've been wanting to learn a new (first?) programming language!
